For almost 20 years, HONZEN Jakarta has been serving and growing with millions of customers, both local and international.  Ever since the start of its history, HONZEN Jakarta has consistently delivered Japanese Cuisine’s purity and elegance to the table. The sushi in particular, has always been made only from the best ingredients, way before sushi became the talk of the town.

To celebrate the love from our customers to the sushi, HONZEN Jakarta decided to renovate the entire sushi room. In the hand of young and successful Japanese Interior Designer, Mr. Yamaoka, the new sushi room of HONZEN will offer a whole new level of elegance and experience in sushi dining category in the city.

The main “ingredient” of the new room itself is a Japanese wood named ‘HINOKI’ from Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture that has aged over 120 years. Hinoki Wood is one of the most elegant types of woods in Japan. Hinoki Wood is a sacred wood and often used to build shrines and temples for more than 1500 years. It also has many positive effects for human. The “Phytoncide” contained in the HInoki Wood has high antibacterial properties and effective for stress relieving, reducing blood pressure and pulse disturbances. The sacred wood has been shown to be effective for good sleep and to relax brain activity and autonomic nervous activity. In addition, Hinoki Wood’s durability is acknowledged to be one of the strongest in the world. It is said that the strength will be maintained for more than 1200 years.

Exclusively open for Sushi Omakase (Sushi Course Menu) only, the new ambiance is giving a total upgraded sushi dining VIP experience to you. There will be three kinds of Sushi Course Men that you can choose as your sophisticated dinner, all crafted out of the freshest and the finest ingredients.
